Story of MASTERSDOTTIR
Icelandic athletes are known for their powerhouse abilities and all around badassery. This is evidence by the number of professional athletes dominating sports like Strongman & CrossFit.
Icelanders usually take surnames based on an Old Norse tradition of adding dóttir (= 'daughter') to the genitive form of the father's name. So, if your dad’s name is David, your surname would be DAVIDSDOTTIR.
We feel that just because a Masters Athlete is over the age of 35, doesn’t mean they can’t still be a powerhouse. So, we created MASTERSDOTTIR in the spirt of being the older badass Dottir.
